This is a Polaroid of Lauren, the lovely Portland model that I was fortunate to work with recently. Besides it being a pretty image, I’m also excited that it’s the first image from my Polaroid series that will be exhibited. I submitted this and a few other images to PhotoCraft, a juried show at LightBox Photographic Gallery in Astoria, OR. The show was juried by Blue Mitchell, who puts out a really lovely magazine called Diffusion, as well as the folks from the gallery. It opens August 13 and runs through the end of September. I was really pleased to have this image juried into the show. Blue’s been very supportive of my work, he used some of my Holga nudes in a show last year for the online gallery he runs, platestopixels.com. And he follows my work on Flickr and Facebook. I think he has a great eye, so it’s nice to know he likes what I’m doing. Diffusion is a fantastic publication. The latest issue just came out, you can get more info at www.onetwelvepublishing.com.
