Kyleen is someone that I was honestly a little unsure about shooting with. She had some really lovely pictures in her portfolio, but most of them were a few years old. As a photographer it’s really nice to see lots of current images. It helps to know the person you’re booking has been modeling actively, and also that they still look like their images. A lot can change in a couple of years.So when Kyleen came walking up for the shoot, to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. She looked amazing and she wasn’t wearing any makeup yet. She ended up just throwing on a little bit of lip gloss for the shoot, that’s all she has on in this image.She was admittedly a little rusty, she hadn’t been modeling much lately. She didn’t take long to get back into the modeling groove, though, and we had a really fun, productive shoot.I’ve been shooting a little less lately, and thinking about this body of work more. I’ve shot a lot of models and I think not all of those shoots will end up in the final series, but I’m pretty certain I’ll use some images of Kyleen. I think she’s one of the most naturally beautiful models I’ve worked with so far.
